Ecuador has revoked Julian Assange’s asylum, citing his “discourteous and aggressive behavior” and calling his asylum “unsustainable.” He is now in the custody of UK police. Wikileaks supporter Cassandra Fairbanks, who visited him on multiple occasions, likened his life at the Ecuadorean embassy in UK as “a prison with a kitchen” and that he was kept in ever worse conditions and had less privacy each time she saw him. She worries about his fate should he be extradited to the US and calls him “the biggest hero for freedom of the press” and says “they haven’t broken his spirit.”
